First place: Miriam Fenniri (University of British Columbia): Chemically profiling the mysterious colour polymorphism in salmonberries (Rubus spectabilis Pursh.
Second place:  Laura Carruthers (University of Saskatchewan): Improving nitrogen use efficiency and reducing nitrous oxide emissions in potato production.
Third place: Sara Davis (University of British Columbia): Responses of grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) to heat and drought: Vine physiology and grape aroma.

 

Graduate Student Poster Presentations

First place: Dane Harder (University of Saskatchewan): Investigating the soil carbon content of urban soils in relationship to the growth and health of Fraxinus pennsylvanica.
Second place: Daniel Gaudet (University of British Columbia): A single laboratory validation for kynurenine and related metabolites in St. John’s wort (Hypericum perforatum L.).
Third place: Emily Foster (University of Fraser Valley): Melatonin supplementation enhances heat tolerance of Fragaria vesca, Yellow Wonder Strawberry.
